Mounting bracket for Power Commander
Hi Guys,
I have the pc5. Seems to be working fine, however, I really dont like the idea of it just sitting on top of the wiring harness under the seat and flopping away at will. I'm thinking of fabbing up a simple mounting bracket and screw it into the top of the frame with machine screws. Then I could glue a piece of rubber to the bottom of the pc5 and mount it to the bracket with plastic ties. Hopefully this could help isolate vibrations from the pc5 unit. Anyone else done something similar, or am I being paranoid?
Cheers!
You are probably paranoid, but that's not a bad idea. I don't know how much room you have under the seat that it's flopping around, it can't hurt to do that. When I had a Fuel Pak I used some thin high density foam to cushion it from bumps and vibration.

Wait a minute....you have THAT much room under your seat that something can actually flop around? I call shenanigans. LMAO.
