I really love my FB. But the thing is that is feels to cramped up. I need more legroom and further reach.
The forward controll extentions I have found online states that they won,t work with stock exhaust headers. Now one of the reasons I like the look of the FB is the exhaust system. Is there any aftermarket provider that have a solution for this? Or anyone in here that have found their own solution to get around the exhaust headers? I know there is seats out there that will move you back an inch or two but I just spent over a G on a seat set-up that I really like and would rather find a solution that put me "forward" instead of "backward".
I put the Kuryakyn 3 inch extensions on mine before I changed out my exhaust and they fit just fine. The warning on the Kuryakyn's only applies to 2010's. Only problem was it put my leg right along the stock exhaust and it hits the stock AC as well. I got tired of the heat so I changed out pipes. AC is next.

I have 3" extensions on my FatBob, and found a way to put them on with the stock exhaust. Just mount the left peg bracket on the inside of the extension. Then the brake rod does not hit the pipes. It takes some fiddling around, but does work, as evident in the attached pic. You can see it fairly well. Having the footpeg about an inch to the left doesn't bother me at all.

Need a work around for 2010 Fat Bob forward extension
wmo777, can you post some pics at a better angle with more light so we can see exactly how it looks with your setup? I have a 2010 and want the extensions but need a work around. anybody else have a solution?
drag specialties makes a 2" kit for $100 dollars says on there website that it is for there forward control kit but i used them on my HD control kit on my street bob. I'm 6'3 and 2 inchs makes it so much more comfortable don't think i would want to go out any more. If you get this kit run your stock bolts down the threads of the plates or run a tap down them to clean up the threads i don't think they do this after chroming them i had a bolt get stuck in them and had to cut it off and put in a vise so i just used my stock hardware to mount the control to the plate. My stock hardware had thread cleaner on the ends.
