**sent a text to a friend of mine who works at the plant, I will see if he can answer for sure, he usually is on the Vrod line but I imagine he can find out........
My friend at the factory said the 2010's and 2011's all leave the factory with cats in the mufflers (not sure how they get them in there, guess they have to put them in as kittens - wanted to beat the smart a$$'s to this line....).......... I didnt ask about 09 or older
Also, as an after thought, I would be afraid to drill out a cat muffler for fear of breaking up the cat and haveing particles being sucked into the motor. I'm probably thinking to much now.

The cat part was about 4-5" in front of the plate, so didnt get into it, really didnt change the sound much, will be going to something more agressive as soon as $ allow for her......... with the cat's however I am assuming the drastic change in back pressure will require some sort of tune adjustment, might as well go ahead and do the SE AC at the same time..........
That's pretty much what I did right after the 1K breakin. SE stage1 kit, download and Khrome Werks slip-ons. I havent done anything since tuner wise. I've got about 8K miles now. I want to get a tuner but there's so much info out there it's taken awhile to narrow down what to buy. I'm probably going to go with the PCV. Fuel Moto has a deal where they'll preload a map to complement your riding style and they say its plug and play from there. More will be revealed.
I wonder if this is why the American Custom shop slip-ons say they do not have a model for the 2010 SB, but if the Inner Diameter of the pipe is the same as the '08-'09 why couldn't you just put the slip-ons they sell onto your bike and roll on?

Are they just playing it safe for EPA reasons?
Maybe it's the brackets. Or whatever those things are called that connect the two pipes. On mine, anyway. Never know. Prolly not worried about the EPA if they're aftermarket.
Could be. I sure would like to have those slip-ons. American Custom mentioned calling back in the Spring of 2011 for an update. They should have them ready by then they said to fit the 2010/2011 models.
