Well hello all. I just came across this web site tonight. I am a first timer as of today I bought a 2005 Dyna Super Glide in chopper blue with fuel injection.
Although my purchase experience was okay, I have a loaner until they put my new wheels on, should pick it up tomorrow.
Overall I am happy with it, I am really looking forward to my first ride though. This is my first true big twin. I have had several sport bikes and a honda shadow 1100. I know I finally woke up, but realistically I just now can somewhat afford one.
Am looking forward to great knowledge and many opinions here. Thanks for clicking my thread.

Hello Brian. Welcome to the forum. I have a 2004 Super Glide that I bought last July. I am new to this forum and it has provided me much information and some very entertaining reading. Hope you enjoy the new ride and the new online friends.
Thanks to everyone. Is there anything special I should know about this website or about my bike that would be great or helpful to know. I really am enjoying the fat boy they gave me to ride until I get mine. So far I have read that mine is much faster than the fat boy.
I've always loved Superglides and still have a soft spot for 'em even though I'm on my second Electraglide.
I know you're in for many miles of smiles
I spent 10 years and well over 100,000 miles with my '84 Superglide II.
With over 30+ years on bikes of all makes and 20+ years on Harleys, the Superglide is still a favorite of mine.

Welcome, I too bought a '05 Superglide 2 weeks ago and it's a great bike. I got it two weeks ago and have 1200 miles on mine now and will have over 7000 miles on it after I ride to California and back starting in a week and a half.
I guess I might as well take of advantage of this ppst and introduce myself too.
I have been riding on and off since 1978. Mostly Kawasaki's with a Yamaha and Honda thrown in.
Last year after not riding for ten years I picked up a 2004 1200R Sportster. I did the stage I and put almost 11,000 miles on it in the year I had it but decided I wanted something just a little more comfortable and a little better suited for interstate travel. While the Sportster was a snotty, quick, good handling bike I always felt it just did not feel very well planted and secure at today's interstate speeds.
On May 13 I traded my Impact Blue 1200R in on a EFI Chopper Blue FXD. I added a set of fwd controls and I just added a set of saddlebags and I will be doing the stage1 shortly. To date I have 2700 miles on my new ride and the bike is FANTASTIC. While I loved my Sporty, I feel like I am riding a reclining chair when I am out cruising on my FXDI.
