First, the answer to your original post question is a big fat resounding NO! As for hiding the shocks....sure take them off and put them under your workbench. Then put struts on...BAM! They're hidden.

I like the look of the softail with the dropped down seat, no shocks, but they ride like crap IMO

I actually like the exposed shocks on the Dyna as opposed to the Pseudo Hardtail (aka the softtail).

My favorite bike of any bike on the road, happily, is the one I got. :-).

Negative ... Softails are only trying to mimic the old hard-tail look any way ....

The Softail was introduced in 1986 ... the Duo Glide (which introduced the rear shocks on a swingarm frame) was introduced in 1958 .... The Super Glide has been around since 1971 ....

Which bike is the 'wannabe' ...?

Default want one of them to

I would like to have a softail in the barn, because of that low slipped down look, I will admit it, it looks cool. but for flat out rideability. I got go with my dyna ............damn she's alot a fun in the twisties and then looks equally cool when we get there

No.
But I like softails and sportsters and baggers, too.
Nothing wrong with a softail if that is what you want.

I've had 2. Both Fat Boys. I enjoyed them and must admit that when I bought the Dyna mi intent was to re-sell it since I got a good deal. After riding it for a couple of days I was hooked. I sold the Fat Boy and meld the Dyna.

No. Before buying the WG, rode a stock Softail, didn't like the ride as much. My friends who ride them have Air-Rides and are happy with their bikes, but my feeling is that you shouldn't need to install a suspension upgrade. I can ride my Dyna all day and not have a sore ***.
