Try this: I installed the Kuryakyn forward controls kit, which was mostly straightforward. I DID NOT encounter the problem with the shifter splines discussed in other posts. On the other hand, I could not figure out how to install the Kuryakyn anti-rattle clip on the old shift arm. It did not seem to work no matter which direction I tried. I finally gave up and discovered a better solution. I fabricated a bracket that bolted to the loose arm on one end and connected to the transmission top cover on the other. The bracket is angled to pull the old splined shaft flush with the outer primary so I did not need to use the chrome cap. Much cleaner looking and the shifter arm is actually bolted down instead of wedged behind the inner primary cover.
