Spraying S100 Corrosion Protectant on the wheels and lower frame, added 10-40 syn last week. Now I'm ready for my weekly Sunday BBB rides throughout the winter and my chapters Freeze Your *** Off ride on Jan. 1st.
No way am I going to let any kind of weather stop me from riding, you just have to dress accordingly.....well maybe a tornado will stop me.
Well up here in Michigan there isn't much more to do with a Harley in the Winter but mods. Unless you like to drive in snow, ice, and salt. After 5600 miles on my new 2010 FXDC I'm just not happy with this bike, I love Dynas and the 2 in my group are great to drive, but I got stuck with one that the motor vibrates like my old solid mount Sportster did at certain rpm ranges. I have Threads on here about my problems so I won't bore you with the details again. I got to say I would love this bike in every way if it wasn't for the harsh motor vibes. At this point all I can say is when HD raised the crank run-out number so high like it is now and you buy one that is off just to the point of irritation yet under the high speck number, your stuck. So for the very first time ever no Winter mods, I'm not putting one more dollar or time in to this bike this Winter. I love this Harley so much and yet don't enjoy driving it, very odd feeling. With the economy like it is in Michigan I cant take the chance of spending more money for a different model or selling it at a big loss. Best wishes to all of you that will be doing Winter mods, I wish I was one of you.
Try the vehicle alignment!! New front motor mount and vehicle alignment in mine and a world of difference!!
I got a big list. Doubt I'll get it all done of course. Here we go!!
Hopefully for sure:
New Todd cycle knurled grips cause my WCC knock offs suck ***
an EFI module finally!!
A/C or wrinkle the stock tear drop
18x5.5 rear wheel with a 180 tire
Side shots if I find a deal (for now)
Progressive front springs maybe rear
Wrinkled upper and lower rockers
a cam maybe!!
I'm sure there's more, I really should write this down so I can prioritize and start working the wife over. We just moved and bought a house though so we'll see what I can get away with.
Chrome inner primary, SE compensator. If there's enough coin in the jar.... Road Glide air shocks and TW-6-6 or TW-555 cams.... oh and get my homemade air intake powder coated to match the tins.... I'll have to post pics of it... built it in early summer, got a few thousand miles on it...I like it.

Jaron...I have a wrinkle black football cover I'll send you for shipping costs if that floats your boat.
Also...I have those front fork springs (progressive lowering) if you want, I'll make a deal. Just passing on the awesome help you have done for me.
Already put the new Mustang seat on. Hopefully will be putting a set of Big Radius on, and I'd like to put a side mount license plate and lower it a bit. Oh yeah, new boots for sure. I burned through the Michelin Commanders this year.
New IPB, new trans case, new inner primary case, new stator/rotor kit, new primary chain tensioner. Bike is in the shop right now waiting for the trans case.
