Looking for some advice on bolt in cams. I have an 09 Fatbob, stage one with pc v ,6500 miles and was looking into the Woods tw-6-6 or the tw-555 knight prowler cams. A few questions
1-what kind of performance upgrade could I expect from this
2-would I need to install new pushrods and inner cam bearings
3-i'm pretty handy. Is this considered a DIY job
If someone has any other cam advice I am open to suggestions thanks all
The 6's are good. You might want to do some headwork to really wake it up though. Most guys are doing basic headwork for around $300 or so. Really good deals out there!
The Job is not hard since the newer bikes dont require a press to do the cams. All the gears/sprockets are marked so getting them right is pretty easy. You will need a locking tool for the outer chain to loosen the sprocket bolts (about $30)
Adjustable pushrods would make things easier so you dont have to pull the rocker boxes off.

This cat is on track... Head work is a major plus if youre thinking cams hopefully gear driven cams...........Good luck
I would do the Wood TW 5-6 over either of those, with a simple $299. Big Boyz port job and .030 head gaskets you would have a strong bike, you can also reuse the stock pushrods. The cam bearings are 1" now and some say they're good but while the cams are out it's a simple change [mine are stock] there is no reason to spend the money on gear drive because the new chains are fine. Save that money for the 30T pulley and a clutch spring.
