Default Passenger Footboards on 2007 FXDC

I have ordered the Harley parts to install passenger footboards on my FXDC. The part numbers match what is shown on the Harley site, so hopefully everything will fit. The original rear pegs are mounted at an angle which, I suspect, means the footboards will also mount at an angle on the new supports - a slightly upward angle.

Does anyone have experience with these rear footboards? Specifically, how comfortable are they considering they do not mount level?

Has anyone tried to make them more level and, if so, how?

Helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried the harley passenger floorboard and support bracket on my 2007 FXDL some time ago. The floorboards were black, "D" shaped, same as those found on the touring bikes. I believe I had to order everything separately at that time, floorboard, rubber insert, and supports. The supports stuck out straight, not angled back like the stock peg supports. I think the boards were pretty level with the ground, not sure tho. The floor boards stick out further and I think they detract from the look of the bike. My wife did not think they were any more comfortable then the stock pegs. She's not on the back that much any way. In the end I took them off and sold them.

Did you keep any pix of them mounted? What about vibration? Saw some (rider) on a street glide the other day that have some sort of isolator under the rubber insert that lets them move fore/aft - side to side. I would like to find something like that (smaller) for the rear of my FXDC

The ones I ordered are the chrome D-shaped traditional boards. They will mount on black footboard support mounts. Part numbers are:

Footboards 50752-04
Footboard Supports 49349-07

The reason I think they may slant is because of the attached picture of Dawg Rider's bike which has passenger boards. I don't know if he used the same parts, but I assume they would be similar.

We'll see.

His bike is an older bike and will have a different mounting set-up. They will sit about the same on your bike though. The angle puts the boards in a good position for comfort. My wife loves them compared to the pegs.

They are deffinately at a tilt, they would be better if they were level but the wife likes them better than the stock pegs.

Default Passenger Footboards

My wife really loves the Touring style Foot boards on our 2009 FXDC. Part numbers have been quoted earlier in the Thread. Yes there is a slight tilt built in to the mounts.....Photo attached.
