Is the indy price for everything and install or just the bars and install? Are these quotes with internal wiring? $500 for everything isn't bad if you really look at it...bars, cables and extensions alone are probably around $400, but the dealer is just plain nuts! When I did my street slammers I was quoted 6hrs on labor alone which I thought was crazy at $65/hr. I ended up doing it myself which took about 3hrs and that was with the wires ran internally.
Look again, every dealer within one hundred miles of me is so expensive now that they only show their 1/2 hour rate on the board now !!! and it's between 58.00 and 72.00 (depending on which rapist ..err dealer... you go to.)
Yeah, that's 1/2 hour... and yeah, that's one more reason I do my own stuff...and if it's something I'm not sure about, I have quite a few cool indy's nearby...(probably so many because of how much HD shops charge...)

I was quoted $1600 from an indy, I already have my bars. He also stated that he didn't want me to buy all the parts before bringing the bike to him, because I could get the parts through him thats of course how he makes his money.
