Road King/ FXR conversion
Would it be possible to convert a Road King to a modern day FXR? I've seen inverted front ends on them from Todds Cycle and Roland Sands so what if you removed the bags and hardware, chopped the rear fender, and put flat side plates on the side covers, how do you think it would turn out?

Dont ride a 'king, ride a 'train. I am a former Dyna owner- 99 SG then 01 WG. Just curious if a Road King could be made to look like an FXR with a short rear fender, conventional front end, and the bags and hardware removed from the rear. Does'nt the RK have a three point rubber mounting system like the FXR instead of a two point system like the Dyna's? The frames APPEAR similar for the most part. I'm not looking to do this (unless the money tree I planted starts growing) just thinking out loud.
You guys see inverted forks and think they are all the same. They are not! Just because you see inverted you think it will do something for you. Find out what is inside of them first, than talk. Most are overprice crap & I know what I am talking about.
I have been thinking of doing something with my bagger. I do not know ether to chop the neck off (goose neck) and move it back to shorten the wheel base with steering stem behind the forks or keep the steering stem forward of the fork tree.
If I keep the neck in the same condition I will put my set of 30 mm cartridges into the front forks. Here is an example:

Steering stem behind w/ 26* of rake & 4" of trail.
I have done a few things with my FXR to go up to Rosco's Chili Challenge:

Due to the gearing 3K RPM = 93 mph & 62 MPH is just over 2K RPM. I came back at 66 MPH enjoying the ride. Went up (at least to West Palm) over 100 MPH to meet up (late as usual)
