Default Will a 2010 Street Bob tank fit on a 2007 Super Glide?

Hi guys
I want to fit a Street bob tank to my super glide (07 model). I know the 2006-2009 street bob tanks will fit, but the 2010 Street Bob seems to have a slightly different part number from its 2007/6 version:
61018-10BYM vs 61018-06BYM

Just wondering if it will fit a 07 FXD. There seem to be 2010 take off parts available and a couple of tanks available on ebay.

Cheers!

I sure hope so I've got a 2010 Street Bob tank I plan on putting on my 06 Street Bob.I don't know if this helps you but when I asked the same question a few months ago I got a resounding yes.06 and up pretty much use the same frame except for the Fat Bobs which I think have more space in between the fender rails.

It should fit. Frames are the same. There are 3 different styles of tanks but the only difference I believe is the fuel fill.

Here's tank info that has been gathered on this forum.

The Dynas have used 3 tanks from 2004 to 2010.

Tank 1 = FXD, FXDX, FXDC, ‘07 FXDSE
Tank 2 = FXDB, FXDL, ‘08 FXDSE, '10 FXDWG
Tank 3 = FXDWG to '08, ‘06 FXDI35, ‘07+ FXDC, ‘08+ FXDF, '09+ FXDFSE

Only differences are your seals and center piece that goes over your hole for the fuel injection stuff.

Thanks guys. Just missed out on that ebay auction. But, at least now I can widen my search knowing more tanks fit the Fxd. Reason Im changing tanks is to move that dump speedo from the bars to the tank for a cleaner look. Cheers.

Kev, I think you'll need another speedo. The tank mounted speedo hole is larger.

Thanks Bugger. Yep, had already heard about the larger speedo. Decided Id buy a Dakota Digital job. When I thought of the costs of finding something decent to mount the speedo on the bars, I decided i might as well save my cash and buy a new tank and dakato digital. Was thinking of a new paint job anyway so cost is not much different.

Thanks for the post mate.

I'm interested in those numbers. The BYM is a colour code I believe, the -06 means it was introduced in 2006, and the -10 was introduced in 2010. But the main number 61018 being the same suggests they are pretty much the same, so are interchangeable. Harley would have given them different numbers if they are different in any significant way.
