Default rear wheel at the front ?

Hi Folks,

I wonder, could rear wheel be fitted to the front ?

I've found some nice fat spoke wheels, but they of course don't make a front 18x5.5 (planing to run a 180 or 200 at the front )

thanks

you would have to modify your trees, basicly CNC or mill some new ones to fit it

I saw another thread a while back where someone was planning to use a Cross Bones front wheel (rim with tire) laced to a Street Bob hub ....

I don't know if that ever came to fruition, however ... whoever the original poster was, I believe his research indicated it would fit between the stock Street Bob mid-glide forks/fender ....

I can't remember what the Cross Bones front tire size is ... but, I seem to recall it is 150 (maybe 160?) ...

150 / 25.4 = 6" (5.906")
180 / 25.4 = 7 1/8" (7.087")
200 / 25.4 = 7 7/8" (7.874")

Should be able to figure out what the maximum size is by checking the interior measurement of the forks ...?

If you run a back tire on the front you have to reverse the rotation of the tread..the guys in the 70's used to do it if they wanted fatter tires up front..just depends on your laws you have there..

Heres a recent thread with a guy from UK who has done the 200 front tire...

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-feedback.html

Stock X-Bones front tire is 130

thanks for your answers guys,

looks like my question wasn't clear, sorry 'bout that, I was talking hub and axelwise, if I buy a rear wheel, regardless of the clearence, will this wheel fit in the fork and will the brake disk fit too?

I've already got a friend preparing a Wiiide tripletree :-D

no you will have to lace the ring to your front hub and make wheel spacers to fit the new trees and new axel as well

If you have deep pockets, anything is possible.

I would start here. http://www.hdwheels.com/
