Can anybody help me track one of these down? I am trying to gather the parts to do a tank swap on my FXDX, so far I only have the tank, need to get the rest of the stuff together. I can find the dash panel but I can't seem to find this bracket anywhere, Harley dealer said it is obsolete and they can't order one. Ideally I would like to find a complete dash console including the bracket.
Did u ask the dealer if they could look it up on HD net and see if any other dealership had that part in stock ... even if its obsolete there might be a handful of dealers who still have one
Enter search queries at Ebay and try to get in contact with Motorcycle Salvage Companies. I found mine in the UK!
If you want me to, I could make a full scale (paper) copy (mock-up) and sent it to you; IMO it should be possible to make (or have made) one yourself...
Thanks! I will get in contact you if I don't have any luck in the next month or so. There is a swap meet I am going to next month that I will try my luck at.
I put out the feelers to a bunch of salvage yards. I guess I am calling out for a favor here as well. I know I am new here, but if anybody comes across one of these and picks it up for me I will be glad to reimburse you for the item plus some extra for your hassle.
Is it still available? The auction has ended, PM sent.
Can anybody verify the parts from the 97 FXDL will fit my 2000 FXDX? Are The Gauges still direct swap?
And Bugger, thanks for the link, I actually don't seem to be having trouble finding the dash, it's finding the actual bracket that is proving impossible.
