Didn't you read what I posted? I laid it all our for you. Amy showed you how to so it, what more do you want, me to come over and do it for you. You have to read when you ask for help.

FastHarley I did read your post and I watched the videos. Someone suggested that there was no need to take the fork off so I posed the question. Isn't that the whole point of this forum? I'm not asking you to come and do it for me, which I'm sure would enlarge your ego even more. Ugh.
And you didn't LAY IT ALL OUT for me anyways - the videos did.
What more do I want? Is for you to stop being a judgmental and condescending [....] and relax. I'd think you'd be a bit more understanding as a "sponsor" (whatever that means).

I don't mean to sound like a royal pain in the *** (aka bit*h), but man... I don't get why some of you seasoned riders come down so harsh on newbies... it's not like I asked a dumb question.

I did mine using a homemade lift for the front and left the forks in the trees. Just had to buy a 12mm hex and a short piece of PVC pipe (to press the seals in) everything else was just basic tools. I do recommend a manual as well it will pay for it self many times. I am not much on write ups but did a short one when I did mine you can search for. Not sure how helpful it is.

And you? You did not even bother to read. Again, for that method it is laid out with just the sliders off in PDF Form. How To R&R Your FL Front End PDF Download

BTW, who do you think made the video? Who do you think paid for it just so you can see it? Do you think that is for free. I guess I just should mind my own business. I invest my time putting all of this information together for your benefit and I get your response? Maybe a thanks would be better or I am sure I hope your DIY project does good for you. I am sorry for bothering you with my post and will not make that mistake again.

oh geez... I'm never going to hear the end of this... I don't mint constructive criticism and I will RTFM - I have one.

I do appreciate Howard's help, to whom I already apologized and explained my reaction.

If anyone would like to weigh in on the lower legs change - please do - as it is my first time changing it...

Otherwise.. let's please drop it..

I just did it this past weekend and did not remove the forks from the tree.....

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...e-sliders.html

the top nut is a BITCH!!!!!!

No need to invert the strut unless you plan to rebuild the entire strut, just leave the guts inside the strut and replace the lowers

* notice the chrome forwards that use to be on your bike
