Default I need a source

You guys have been so good about helping me find stuff quickly I thought I'd throw this out there.Does anybody know of a place online I can order the screw in air valves I need for a set of bagger air shocks? I'm not talking about the flimsy plastic shrader valve setup that comes with the shocks.I want the all metal screw in valve stems.I know some auto parts store carries them but can't remember which.

You mean a schrader valve? Should be able to get them at an auto-parts store.

Hey bud I actually bought mine right at the local NAPA store -- I just explained what I needed and the guy came out with a couple of them. Only cost a couple bucks. Just an idea.

Thanks I guess I'll give Napa a try.I'm layed up for a couple of weeks recovering from some minor surgery so I've been ordering a bunch of stuff for my winter make over online but it won't hurt me too much to go into an actual store.

Ed,

Could this link help you out? You could ask Forum member FastHarley as well...

I hope you recover soon!

So if your using the Harley set up with the single Schrader valve splitting off to both shocks, chances are you wouldn't notice the decreased air capacity of one shock not taken any air.

Recommended air pressures
0-10 lbs for a 150-lb to 200-lb rider.
5-15 lbs for a 200-lb to 250-lb rider.
20-25 lbs for a rider with passenger.
FL air preload rear suspension range is 0-35 lbs of pressure.
FLHRS and FLXH low-profile shocks are 0-50 lbs max.

Harley Davidson, air valve, and hose set up
(One Schrader valve that splits off to both shocks)
54536-02A air shock valve / hose
54320-97 push-in hose fittings (order two, one for each shock)

Only modification to make them fit is to trim the rubber boot where it attaches to the shock so that it doesn't interfere with the belt guard, might be better just to shim the shocks out about a 1/4".

NAPA is where I got mine.... 'tank valve' is what they call them.
