I run mids with hiway pegs....... perfect combo IMO. I like the mid controls for city riding and on windy roads but it's nice to be able to put your feet up on the long staight stretches. I had fowards on my last bike and thought I liked them till I went back to mids and realized how much more in control I was. I recommend staying with the mids and throwing on a set of hiway pegs; it's a cheap mod and if you dont like em or decide to go with the forwards later just pull em off
If CRF didn't post his opinion, I would have posted the same. So much more in positive control...highway pegs are just relaxing on the highway..of course..
+1 for the midmounts. I was on a bike with forwards and when I first got on my bob with mids I felt cramped. But after a couple of hundred miles, I actually like the mids. Will probably get the highway pegs later as well. I've also heard of people heel shifting with the mids and highway pegs as well.

I heel shift alot if I'm not dealing with a bunch of traffic lights, or stop and go traffic.
