Thinking of putting highway pegs on my Street Bob. Anybody using these or should I put forwards on it? Still like the thought of the mid controls so I have a couple places to put my legs.

I run mids with hiway pegs....... perfect combo IMO. I like the mid controls for city riding and on windy roads but it's nice to be able to put your feet up on the long staight stretches. I had fowards on my last bike and thought I liked them till I went back to mids and realized how much more in control I was. I recommend staying with the mids and throwing on a set of hiway pegs; it's a cheap mod and if you dont like em or decide to go with the forwards later just pull em off
Just a heads up. I tried to save money and buy generic highway peg kit and was disappointed. The materials and hardware were soft pot metal from over seas and warped, stripped and fell apart. Returning them was a battle and then I splurged to genuine Harley-Davidson accessories. Grade 8 hardware and the chrome plating has not flaked off nor had any problems. So, go with HD if you decide. Lastly, I agree with CRF on the best setup for me is mid with highway pegs. Better control with mids and I can stretch out on longer trips.

Was thinking the same thing... Rode 5 years with forward controls and floorboards on a metric and really didn't want to spend the extra moolah to have forwards installed on the bob... I've gotten used to and actually like the mid controls but would like to stretch a bit on longer interstate slab rides... so one of my winter mods will definitely be highway pegs. Just perusing the various pics to find the ones that looks good for my bike.
I installed highway pegs on my Street Bob because I like to do most of my riding with the mids. The highway pegs gave me a good alternative but I found I wanted more adjustment. Found these Kuryakyn's to be more adjustable and got the pegs dialed in just right: http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...ID/17/IMID/466
Working it both ways at our house, have mid control pegs (pegs only) to put on my WG and looking to put forward pegs on the wifes Superglide, with her being short it ought to work good for her and as noted above, multiple options are always good!
