Draining Engine Oil on 2007 FXDC

When draining the engine oil on my 2007 FXDC, should it be upright on my lift or sitting on the jiffy stand? I have been doing it while upright on the lift but it looks like more engine oil might drain out if the bike were sitting on the jiffy stand due to the angle. Looking in my service manual is inconclusive.

This video shows the bike upright on a motorcycle lift.

Funny though that according to the Service Manual the level check should be done with a hot engine and the bike on the jiffy stand.....

I have always done mine on the jiffy stand, 08 SB and 07 Low Rider.....I will usually stand the bike upright and then back on to the Jiffy Stand to try and get as much oil out as possible.

On the jiffy stand and yeah the angle gets more of the oil out than if it was on a lift.

I always put a 1" wood block under the jiffy when changing fluids.

I start mine on the jiffy stand but will sit on the bike and move it upright while the plug is pulled. You will hear more oil come out as you move it.

... as previously mentioned... on the jiffy stand, but will move the bike to straight up, and maybe a little over center the other way, and back over. Get's most of all the little pockets of oil out... seems to be more effective on the tranny and primary.
