Rake on Wide Glides
So, I have found differing answers online and looking for the definitive answer.
What is the rake difference between the 05 Wide Glide and the 49 mm Wide Glide front ends? Just need to know the actual triple tree rake.
I would like to do a swap to 49 mm but do not want to lose any rake, gaining a degree or 2 would be fine though.
It is obvious the newer (06-up) WG's have more total rake, but I also know they added some to the frame.

'06 DWG: 34-deg. in the frame + 2-deg. in trees = 36-deg. total rake.
'04 DWG: 32-deg., frame only.

Pretty sure they do. I put a set of older 41mm WG trees on my super glide and it definatly raked it out more.
Not sure, but I think you have 33 deg rake total. I don't think any is in the trees but I am not sure. As far as the "mm" that is refering to the fork tube diameter. It has changed several times over the years.

I feel kinda dumb looking at all the knowledge here.
Like someone said, "he doesn't know that he doesn't know"
I didn't know that there is so much to learn here until I read something and then the knowledge hunger kicks in.
Thanks again for the info

I believe there is some rake in the older WG trees as well, not sure about the 90's since I bought my first WG in 01, but the frame of the WG and Low Rider are usually the same and the additional rake was in the trees. Could be wrong, but I believe that is true.
