Keep shopping until you find a custom seat maker who will make your set up. These guys did my stock seat with memory foam and it is great.

think HD makes the brawler in brown. I have it in black and it is not bad, 350 miles is my longest one shot strech so far but it was good the whole way.

I've put most of the 24k miles on my '08 with my Mustang Wide Vintage Solo under my butt... I ride all day long with no issues, no pain. You also need to take into account the angle of your legs/feet and the reach/angle of your arms on the bars.
