Default Seat question for day trippers

I want to make a change to a very Comfortable single seat with a detachable back rest. Whats the top generic seats out there. I've looked at Lepera, Mustang and Saddlenan, but I have no clue about which one really is worth the money.
Any help would be helpful. After 3 hours on the mustang seat I think I have by arce hurts.

If your back aches and not your a$$, it may be your seating POSITION. You may need new bars or a different seating position, (forward/rearward, up/down).

My 2 cents worth for your situation....... buy yourself an AirHawk seat cushion. It solved my problem. My buddys now say I do not ever want to stop unless it is for gas. Happy Trails !!

We're all different. For me, the Mustang saddles work best because they are firmer. I've noticed that softer seats tend to hurt my back on a long ride.

I use the HD Solo Signature Series but have had a gel pad laid inside the seat around on the whole surface - its superb

I have the Corbin saddle and I can't remember the model. Road Glide 2010, very firm, only saddle I can ride all day and be okay. I have a sad, boney, white man's butt and this is the only time in my short eight years of riding that I can ride for 12 hours and am okay with it.

Had a Corbin and I can tell you they are very firm, but also very comfy on long hauls. Go figure. Had to go back to stock to keep momma happy, so I too had a gel pad installed. Love it lots. Not soft like you would think, but supportive and won't crush down to the pan like the stock foam does.

Comfort ends at the seat, but starts at the road. Consider alternative tyres, to improve ride quality, plus decent shocks, which between them will take out most of the discomfort coming up from the road. Having installed custom-built shocks our mileage in the saddle is greatly improved.

I also agree that good shocks help a lot! I am looking at a C&C solo with a back rest. Good luck.
