Buy a manual. Best thing you can do. My 03 FXDL has 2 bolts to the left of the battery below the switch that need to be removed Then everything can be dropped and the battery removed Make SURE you disconnect the negative cable before anything else you will screw it up if you don't, but again BUY A MANUAL.
bummer. I will look around and if I find one I will let you know. In the mean time check for the 2 bolts to the left it drops the box on my 03 and gives me access
first thing to do..unhook negative cable..look in the big opening under the seat on the frame..a bolt is sticking up..the negative cable or ground is connected to it..to the left of the battery tray are two bolts..one goes up towards switch and the oter goes inward toward frame..remove the bolt that goes toward frame..loosen the bolt that goes toward switch..you will notice the battery tray start to tilt..once this bolt is removed tilt battery rest of the way down..not a whole lot of room..remove the positve cable and remove battery with negative cable attached...install in reverse...be careful..

good to hear that..a manual is a must have..can you look on places like e bay..?or even contact a HD dealership..? in the states i think the manual is like $65...even if it costs you alot more to get it to you..that manual is worth way more than that..i think of it as buying knowledge..but...you can always ask on here...what you got goin on with your bike..? looks like your getting ready for some changes...
