I had this problem with the bleeder into the fender with 1" bolcks. But my main concern was handling with it lowered, I would scrape everywhere so I build a custom exhaust. then I started grinding my $100 pegs which are worthless now.
My suggestion would be lower the fender and leave the bike at factory height. this is what I'm doing now. I'm pulling the fender to cut a relief for the bleeder and anything else I find that will hit and then having it repainted because my 2up seat ruined the paint on it anyway.
Mine is lower 1" in the front and stock on the rear now.
would you mind passing on the info, brand of that bag on the passenger seat? Thanks.
Haaa..With the solid struts; you don't find any problems with your rear fender clearence..That's clear..!
And what a total savage look..Very very near the ground..Nice..!
Just the problem is for your back & teeth perhaps..
Are they home made or aftermarket..?
Im 24, 25 in february I'll worry about my back later. LOL. Made the struts. 10.5" center to center. solid bar. Im trying to get the fender closer to the tire as well but i might have to wait on another scoot for 2 up before that happens. My OL dont mind the struts but if i move the fender shell be SOL
Sweet looking bikes everyone. I've got the progressive 412's and love em.
I replaced the front fork oil with heavy duty oil to stiffen the stock front end. With the rear lowered and the front stock it gave a squishy or seesaw feeling in the curves. The HD fork oil cleared it right up.
hey guys, some very nice wide glides out there, im looking at rear shocks mainly because i like the look of the 430's and the ricor billet style. after reading a few posts im siding with the ricor, they do ask for riding style and your weight, im only a light build and im going to take the pillion and sissy bar off, after looking through the pics im considering getting my lower forks powder coated black too, are ricor better than the progressives i have heard not many good comments about the 430's in particular, although others like the 440 my mates love em
wow that is a very low kit, i do quite long rides, anywhere from 100kms to 500kms so i would like something pratical at the same time as looks, prob wouldnt go the slamer kit as good as it looks it wouldnt ride very well
I want the burly kit on my bike so bad but I'm worried about bottoming out the forks, rear shock and center of the bike. I do ride 2-up every now and then.
I've seen tons of Bobs with the kit but never a Glide (front and rear).
yeah mines not a wide glide but it has wide glide triple trees if that counts. and as for riding on the burlys its not as bad as you think, i rode over 130 miles on it last weekend. and 80 this weekend. also rode a little today 2 up. no bottoming out so far
