I concur with the Uhaul trailer, Ive used them 4 times with no problems.
I have a MC chock from HF. Bolt that down to a piece of plywood.
I also have (3) 2x8s bolted together in an "I". MC chock on that .
Make sure all straps pull forward. Dont put the back straps pulling toward the tailgate. If the front straps fail the rear pulling straps will yank the bike right out of the truck.
Mine's a 6.5 ft bed. I made the brace to hold the front wheel straight, and to stop the wheel from kicking out once strapped down. It just fits up against the front of the bed and is held by the wheel wells. Then I just used 500 lb rachet type straps that you can get at any auto parts store for about $5 each.
One thing I found was most golf courses have ramps set up for putting a golf cart in the back of a pick up. They work perfect if there's a course around you, or where you are going.
