Default My Sleeper is almost done

Well, I couldn't wait so I took half a day off and ran up to the HD shop to check out what they had done....Note, you can't see anything other than a pretty stock looking SB.

Rush mufflers, old school Shovel head A/C cover and some vintage tank emblems.

What ya don't see are 95 inch 10.25 to 1 pistons, Ported, polished, flow tested heads, larger valves, high lift springs, 575 lift cams, rolled lifters, SE Super Tuner....fire it up now and it doesn't sound mild at all.

Going to add one mod with Big City Thunder Head Pipe Baffles and lose the Rush baffles completely. The Big City Baffles go inside the head pipes so again just a stock looking 88 inch SB.

Damn, this winter is gonna get the best of me yet.

No Dyno numbers yet, need to put 1000 miles on it 1st and it is winter here.

As for what it cost, just short of $4000 in all. Includes 95 inch jugs, 10.25 to 1 Pistons, SE Super Tuner, Fueling Reaper 575 cams and Race Roller Lifter, +30 push rods, SE Clutch spring, Head were ported, polished, larger values, High Lift springs, new guides and I forget what else.

Plus the SE Heavy Breather and the round A/C cover were included and the gaskets as well as labor.....Dyno Tune is included after the miles are put on it too.

Then I just ordered BCT Baffles and replaced a few bent or dinged up chrome pieces that came on the bike from the original owner.

Crank shaft run out was the best they have ever seen coming in at 1/1000th of an inch.

I like the no bling effect. Good job. What did you use for the air filter cover?

I have enough Bling on my 98 Sportster....I wanted this one just clean and simple. The A/C cover is HD Nostalgic Bar and Shield for a 1340 cc Evo motor.

SE Backing plate and A/C Filter are behind it (not sure what if any mods were needed other than painting the Backing Plate black).

I need to get some better pictures here soon.

Styled after the 60's era Pan or Shovel Head A/C Cover.
