Default RSD Vintage Short Stack.

This is a tale of dont drink and order parts off the interweb. I ordered a set of Vintage Short Stack bars and some 3 inch risers for my 2010 FXDWG while drinking a few nights ago without stoping to think if I would need to change cables or extend wires.

Has anyone here tried putting these bars on a wide glide? Is there any way for me to see if I am going to have to change cables before the bars get here?

If I am going to have to change cables and extend wires I would like to get the parts on the way. Any help would be appreciated.

not really negative since I love the look of the bars, I am just good at waiting so I like to order everything at once so when it comes in I can install it and ride.

the bike still has the stock bars and risers now.

Those are the bars I ordered.

Stock risers are 5 inches I think, I bought 3 inch risers.

What is the reise on the bars? if you go with short risers 1 1/2 you should be ok. depending on the bars. but if you want to keep the 3" risers you have you will need wires and cables.

the rise on the new bars is 7.5 inches I believe. I'm not sure what the rise on the stock bars is.

with short risers it will be close. stock reiser are 5 the bars are about 2. new bars 7.5 but they look like they drop at the grips with 1.5 risers. sorry if you have already done the math i'm just thinking out loud. it will be close. you might get a little extra on the cables if you run them on the back side of the trees instead of thru.

Might have to use 1 inch risers, I guess I will have to wait to see. I will post pics when I get them.
