Another jack question

Own a road king.
I have owned and continue to use the Torin jack after several years(5+).
Bought it for about $60-$80.
I would NOT purchase it again.
Weakness:
The safety locks are not functional. They will not hold the bike.
The bottle jack died and required replacement.
This is a low budget jack that is only OK for limited use.
It is my opinion that the safety locks could get someone in trouble fast on some jacks. If the safety locks hold the bike and an absent minded user forgets about the safety locks then a simple jolt could tumble the bike. A screw and safety pin system might be better?
