My original vote would have been textured but now that I see the gloss, I think it looks great! I think if flows with the swing arm well. I'd leave it.
I would do textured - I think that would flow with the crinkle black engine since to the eye it "looks" like the belt guard comes "out" of the back of primary. And it will contrast nicely with the gloss finish on the shocks.
