It was a rainy day today in NorCal so I spent some time prepping and priming my belt guard. Ready to apply the color coat and trying to decide whether I should use glossy black (like shocks) or textured black (like horn cover). Would appreciate your opinion. Thx.

I think textured black is better. It contrasts with glossy shoks and swingarm.

I went with no belt guard...

Of the options I would go with textured as well. Glossy is going to show how dirty its getting and show the scratches etc more.

If afraid I'm another vote for textured. In fact I would get some truck bed liner paint for a little added durability. The gloss black would look good but unless you go with powder coat it'll scratch way too easily.A set of throw over bags will ruin either finish in short order.

Shiny, same as the sheet metal.

I would do textured - I think that would flow with the crinkle black engine since to the eye it "looks" like the belt guard comes "out" of the back of primary. And it will contrast nicely with the gloss finish on the shocks.
