I would go with either the sundowner or the touring seat as I have heard it all from my wife as well. The floor boards and isolation pegs due help but the problem is that the peg mounts to the swing arm and not to the frame like older Dyna's. No matter what peg or floor board you get it will still vibrate because of how they are mounted. Get her a good pair of boots. I have heard some say that there are boots that have isolated rubber soles that help soak up the vibration caused by the pegs mounted to the swing arm. Wearing the right kind of clothes is as important as the seat and pegs......

hmm... you have a valid point there. i never understood why they did away with the mounting system they had. but i have a newer dyna so thats what i have to work with. those floorboards i found on 2orangeharleys are adjustable and vibration reducing. the idea is to give her more places to put her feet other than just on pegs in ADDITION to soaking up some vibration for her.

the trip i have planned is a grand total of 490 miles one way. it has a stop somewhere near the middle, however, the return trip is gonna be done in one swoop... which is about 9 hours of traveling solid. now im not gonna lie, if she can take it without any problems ill be DAMNED impressed. but i dont want her to be nearly crippled from the trip ya know. i was also thinking screw it and stick with what ive got and just get her a butty buddy for the trip. that might be a better route for me considering im paying for two hotels and admission to an amusement park.

Be informed: The Sundowner pushes you a bit forward and up (not as much as the Reach seat, though), compared to the stock SG solo seat. The Touring sits more in the same position as the stock seat, but better shaped.

Ask your dealer if you could try both seats out before you buy. I did that when I was seat shopping.

Good luck in your search.

Also, Mrs. Grind liked the Kury ISO Dually pegs better than the fat HD pegs. She grumbled when I told I was only letting her try them, though, and put them in the mid control position.

they're totally adjustable in ever direction. You can see I have them tilted back somewhat. She prefers them with a slight angle vs flat.
