Soft and silky! Nice, maybe I'll wrap my wife up in it.

I'm going to play devils advocate here and say I'm not feeling it..To me it absolutely ruins the way ANY pipe looks especially a t-header. Not to mention it creates some future issues that otherwise you wouldn't have to deal with. Every wrapped t-header I've EVER seen with any amount of miles always had issues breaking either in the front head pipe or at the collector. Atfirst I always chalked it up to a faulty pipe..or two...or three then noted all of them had one thing in common and it was they were wrapped. When they broke and we unwrapped em you could see definate signs of excessive heat buildup in certain areas. Areas that would normally get some heat stress of course, but it was magnified and centralized by the wrap. The whole idea of the wrap is to keep exhaust heat (energy) inside the pipe which aids scavenging and velocity yadda yadda. That also keeps ALOT of heat inside what is notoriously a fragile pipe. Especially the thin walled primary tubes and where it necks down to the collector. I know it looks all hot-rod and ol school but there are some caveats to think about. Better alternatives for me at least would be to use the t-header heat shields or better yet have the pipe ceramic coated in either black or silver. It would add looks, performance and durability and keep you from potentially ruining a pretty expensive system.. Just my opinion, and you know what they say about those.

Thanks for your input. I've thought a lot about the damage it could cause. Lots and lots of research and opinions here on the topic. I'll ride it til it bucks me. Then get something different. You either love wrap or hate it.

I have the TH heat shields and they're pretty much worthless with forward controls. you'll end up with a big hole In your boot. Ask me how I know.

I think it looks great and is functional as well. I would prefer use of the one time use style CV boot clamps over the standard hose clamps though. Maybe some stainless mechanics or safety wire if you dont like that idea. Check out the CV style clamps at your local auto parts store. They require special pliers for install, also available at auto parts store.

Wrap looks great I think I'm gonna try it when my black wrap wears out.
I use stainless safety wire for securing pipe wrap. Got a roll at Autozone or whatever like $8. They make a rather expensive tool that twists it nice but pliers are fine too. You can hide the twist behind the pipe. Real clean.

My opinion goes the other way...I think the TH only looks good wrapped (at least black ones). The Chrome looks alright on the right bike.

looks good i like the color alot
my pipes are wrapped with 2" black moose racing. It has held up good for the few years it has been on. I spray it about every six months with Flame Proof header paint to keep the color looking good. If the wrap shortens the life of my stock headers i would be ok with it because i wouldn't mind getting a new pipe anyway

that titanium is sweet looking

Great tip thank you. I thought about being some ties that DEI was selling but i wasn't sure of the size. I'll check out both of those options!
