do you need to relocate the turnsignals in order to have detachables side plates. also, anyone have pics of sissy bars on a bob. i know i've seen one on an 07 pea soup bob
You can buy the kit to redo the turn signals, but you don't have relocate them if you will never have saddle bags. Check in the photo gallary for some pics of my bike with the sissy bar.
G'day,
Just did this. part number 53968-06 replaces the smooth chrome blinker stem and the blinker bolts to the the end of the new stem / stud. you also need the docking kit 53961-06 and of course the D/ rails. The instuctions call these a relocation kit but it is not the one that moves them rearward near the tail light to clear saddle bags. ( this all assumes you don't have bags.) although my throw over bags still clear the blinkers in the standard position. you will need to cut and rejoin the wiring.

Thanks! Use throw overs right now and they are just right for puttin' around town and short rides. Don't plan on larger bags, wanted to keep the signals where they are.
Do like the idea of the detachable back rest very much. Would use it occasionally when youngest rides as passenger or when taking a longer trip. *older kiddos riding thier own now*
Long story that involves blue dots, Texas laws and making bike more visable.
Want to keep the original turn signals where they are. Add a relocaton kit with red lenses and put my blue dots in them and have them tied in with running/brake light.
Also have license plate with amber turn signals.

You can modify the standard side plates to make them fairly quick to remove. The front bolts are easy and quick,it's the rear bolts that are a pain. You can slot out the rear bolt hole and make it so all you have to do is loosen the rear bolt and drop the side plate down on top of it.
