...I need a bag thats fits more securely than just by leather straps as it`ll be containing a two way radio system and was hoping whether the softail bag could be manipulated to fit my Bob, If anyone has any ideas I`ll be happy to here them...
I would suggest that you can get any bag you want that fits your needs and use the supplied straps. Then you could take clear nylon zip ties and wrap them directly under the leather straps. They would add the reinforcement you would need and be practically invisible.
Just a suggestion if you cannot find strong enough straps.

I used two black nylon dog collars to help secure the tool bag on my VTX 1800C.
Do you have any pictures and where did you mount it?

I'm sorry but my digital camera is down and until I get a new one I can't shoot a pic. But I mounted it around the fork tubes directly over the lower tree, so the tree keeps it from sliding down. I just used the nylon straps Greg sent with the bag and it's a perfect fit. Also his 10 incher is perfect for the forks on my '11 FXDC.
I'm generally not a big fan of fork bags but this one looks really good I think.
Thanks dondee! I checked out the Garage Leather web site and found the bag. It looks good.
Yeah it's really heavy-duty and looks like something Harley should have made.
The way I mounted it (which was pretty much my only choice) it sits right under the headlight and fits so well that you don't even notice it unless you're looking for it.
Greg makes nice stuff and is good to deal with. I also have two of his Big Bad Dyna Latch bags, one for each side of the back. They really look retro!
