What paint matches the best? I figure wrinkle black but what brand? I checked Home Depot last night and all they sell is Rustoleum ,no wrinlle black.
Im doing the WG rear fender conversion on my Fat Bob . I was thinking I could get my painter to paint it black denim when he paints the fender but I dont know if that would look right on the battery cover. I think I need to match the battery cover as much as possible.
I used Krylon textured paint. Three years ago, and still looks great.
(damn that sounded like a commercial)
Oh, and just FYI: I painted the rear springs with oil-based Rustoleum. With a brush. Took about two beers per spring. Also three years ago, and they're still perfect too.
I used the RustOleum Truck Bed Liner spray this weekend. It looks "factory" and I am REALLY impressed with the results. Best $8 I have spent on the bike to date.

Im guessing they sell that at Home Depot too since they sell RustOleum products.
That's exactly where I got it. I was a little hesitant on the price at first but figured hell, if it worked it would be worth it. As it turns out I would have paid twice that after seeing the results.
I painted my battery cover band with some Rustoleum Self etching primer then shot it with Satin black Engine paint. I like the looks of it but it doesnt match the color of the rest of the battery cover has a really good contrast and people tend to notice/compliment on it.
Colorite.com makes a matching HD paint for the denim black in a spray can. I'm not sure if they have the wrinkle or not. I used the denim black when I cut my rear fender.
