Glad to hear you are OK - but - back the train up a bit! I understand being good natured and not wanting to intentionally screw somebody, but, seems to me you have bigger fish to fry than putting your bike back out onto the road. Before you go and accept ANY payment from ANYONE for ANYTHING you want to be damn sure you are OK!
While the prospect of being able to ride again quickly may be appetizing, how about the prospect of encountering medical difficulties (and yes - expenses) in the near or future because of this accident. THAT IS WHAT INSURANCE IS FOR! I hope that all goes well for you and that you are able to get past this unscathed.
