I bet it was! I was stationed at Edwards AFB in CA for a while and it was nice being able to ride year round. I'm hoping to get somewhere warm when I head back to the States in a couple years.
Not this year it ain't. I bought my fxdbi in sept, first bike, and thought perfect mode of trasportation and it will save me on gas. That was before socal got 3/4 of it's rain from oct to to dec and the average morning temp was 35. Still love it though and love it even more when the socal fair weather riders call me crazy cause there's frost on the ground.
Hey but good for you. You might have to just make time to ride before your vacation to asia minor. Good luck to you and take it from a VFW, keep your head down' mouth shut and smokes close. Oh and I was always told "Marines that want to be heroes come home dead, Marines who cover their brothers come back in one piece". For you substitute Marines for Airmen.
