This is stock 2005 FXDX that was on ebay recently with a buy it now of $7750. It had 20,000 miles but looked absolutely like new. Just for comparison...
Edit: I don't think the '99s had the same shocks as the later models.

6-8k is a pretty normal range for fxdx's. The "extra's" they offer like the blacked out drivetrain, adj susp, triple discs are, for the people into that worth the extra money over a standard fxd. Of course if you are looking at that particular bike with intentions of apes, forwards, 10in shocks, tassles, windshield and a cupholder..then like said in another post leave it for someone else and find a plain fxd. If you appreciate all the "extra's" and want a great foundation then scoop it up, it's only money you can make more.
btw I pain 7500 for my 04 and it had a 95in with 203 cams already. Look for one out west here, lots of em in CA, AZ, NV.

Yeah but the triple discs on 1999 models are the old style brakes with the old style wheel bearings. Harley vastly improved the brakes and wheel bearings on the 2000 models. I would not give that much for it.
found an 02 at my local dealer with 3000 on it gonna try and get it for 7700 they are asking 8400. it has a few extras that i dont want so i would sell and re coup some money that way. besides this is my current ride,so as you can see I AINT DESPERATE !! also i live in NYC where everything costs a little more.
