iam redoing all my cables to braided.but who makes the best braided cables.if you have done it allready, plz give me some info on them.some said diamondback.but i figured i would run it by you guys first.thanks for any replies
Hey Jackyl
I have the 06 bob and I switched out my cables. I bought the diamondbacks and love the look. I will see about posting a pic. The reason I think these ones are the best are they have a plastic coating over the braiding to protect from weather. Great idea, and not all do that. They look great and well made. The job took me a few hours. I learned the entire way and believe now i could do a set in about 2 hours or less. If you have any install question i could most likely help. I try to post pics tonight.

I just did what you are about to do. I used the HD diamondback braided cables, they are sweet but you can't get them in all the + sizes, I ordered the 2005 stock size diamondback FXDWGI clutch cable and brake line and the 2005 FXDCI stock size diamondback throttle cables. The throttle cables seem a little tight but work just fine. I got the stainless steel braided HD gas line and crossover line and I defiantly like the diamondbacks better but there's more sizes and options available with the stainless steel braided cables and lines. I have posted a few pics for ya!
I had Goodrich on my old sport bike and they were plastic coated. Very reasonably priced too!
I need to do the front brake myslef after the bar change. I had to "Hand Alter" the solid portions of the stock line just to mount the master cylender to the bar.
Barnett has a couple of choices of cables, and they will make them any length that you want. I do believe that you need to go thru your local shop. Give them a call and they'll tell you the clostest shop.
