Dyna Upgrades Question
Two questions:
1. 2011 FXDC - bought street bob handlebars and want to know if I need to switch cables. The rise is only 8.75" compared to 5.25" on the buckhorns, according to harley specs. The stock cables on the FXDC are longer than on the Street Bob. Parts guy and I walked through it becasuse there was a Dyna on the floor. I've read in some placaes you have to switch the cables, and othere you didn't?
2. How long does it take to install forward controls? Parts guy told me two hours, service told me 4.5 hours? Thanks!

Just put forewards on my 09 fxd and took about an hour. Super easy, though i didn't remove primaries and left the mi-shaft in place. For now i just tucked the mid-shifter behind the engine bolt as others have done. This is probably one of the easiest things you can do to your bike

I left the shifter's splined shaft in place for now, covered with the supplied cap, but could have removed it without removing the primary case, with a hacksaw, if I wanted to.
