Santee Bonanza 2 handlebars question
I got the 15" bars.. and I'm fairly sure some others here have them (seen the pics).
These are going on a 2011 Dyna Street Bob..
The bike came with cables that seemed ample for stringing up the new bars - probably the standard length.
Now the dealer is telling me that he has to order longer cables for the new bars.
The question is, did those of you who have Santee Bonanza 2 15" bars.. did you have to change the cables?
These are the bars :
from eBay

I dont have those exact bars, so I can't help a whole bunch. A couple lines may work, and a couple may not. I don't know. Your HD dealer has a specific tool that they can use to measure the length of cable you'll need. And their aware of the stock Street Bob cable lengths. If you have any questions and you're not sure if they do require new cables or not, just go there and ask them to take you in the back and show you how they came to that. They should be more than willing to show "you" why "you" need to spend more money...so long as your cool with them and have a good relationship. And if you look at it and you're certain you don't need longer cables, then tell them no and see if they'll do it with the stock ones. But realize that when the bars turn from either left or right, the opposing sides cables are getting pulled further/tighter. So you'll need a little slop in your lines to allow for this. Given the fit of the stock cables, I wouldn't be surprised if you perhaps needed a couple new ones. Hopefully someone with the same bars will chime in. Good luck!

$1200 to put on new handlebars??? holy crap man...
The dealer's putting these bars on my bike.... along with all the extra stuff I order at time of purchase. The whole thing was supposed to take 3 days... it's been over a week now - due to having to order the cables.
Waiting to get my bike back sucks.

You shouldn't need new cables.
JaronB used stock cables.
I have a fxd with shorter cables stock. So i went with a goodridge brake line & barnett throttle cable (both from ebay brand new). Both are +6" are are 3" or so too long, but bought a stock used street bob clutch cable on ebay for $14 & it fits fine on mine. and thats with 2" risers.

I doubt you would need new cables maybe you may have to remove the bit under the triple tree for you brake line but thats all, I went 14 plus risers on my wide glide with stock cables, before I got my apes, sure you have to pull some wires out and you may have to bend the throttle bit s under the grip a bit but I had no issues with mine and free play all round,
