Default 2011 FXDC Z Bar Question?

I am thinking about running either a set of Jammer/Paughco narrow 10" Z bars or Biltwell Frisco's on my 2011 FXDC. I think I could get away with either set with the stock cables and brake lines but wanted to check with someone that's done it before I drop $60 to $100. Lots of threads about the street bob and the FXD but not so many about the FXDC. Anyone with a FXDC swap out bars without changing the wiring, cables and lines?

Yea, I'm trying to avoid replacing everything, I don't have the funds for that right now and don't want to deal with the hassle.

I hear you there, trust me. You can always look into burly cable kits. If you want I can measure mine for 16's and you can try and adjust accordingly?

I think the stock street bob bars ar 10s and you use your cables. The break line might be the only short one.

You will definately need to change your cables. I put 4.5 risers under my stock bars on my "11" FXDC, and they are a little tight. Rode like this since june, when i bought my Dyna, had no trouble but was affraid of something pulling. This is only temporary, though. Just ordered my 16" ***** f'r's from LA Chopper. This will be my winter project.

Thanks for the tips and advice. I have a set of Frisco bars that I made from cut down ape's and an old set of 4" z bars that were in a wreck, they're both too ratty to put on this bike but I am going to put them on there for mock up and measure out how high I can go from there. Those have been in a wreck probably before I was born. The stock bars are fairly wide so I'm thinking narrow would free up some inches. I think narrow 6 or 8's are feasible.

I like the stock bars but the angle doesn't feel right on my wrists on the freeway. I'm picky about bars, I went through 4 sets on my sporty until I got something that felt right, even than I wanted taller risers This is an expensive way of life (beyond hobby for most of us I bet).

These are the 7" Frisco bars I built. They have zero pull back and are a little too narrow for the new narrow glide trees so I won't be running them. They look like **** too, they were old beater bars that were left here when we put a drag bar on my friends sportster. I am pretty sure I could go up to 8" or possibly 10" z bars with no change of cables required.

I tried some superglide bars I had laying around. The clutch cable was too long to run them and they weren't as comfortable as the stock bars.

I just put 12" Z's on my FXDWG. The cables are not a problem, but the clutch and brake were. The brake line actually did reach, but just barely. I decided to replace it along with the clutch that wasn't even close to reaching. I went with 6" over stock length and they fit great on the 12" bars and 1 1/2" risers.

Right on, how do you like them compared to the drags?
