When you put the tank lift kit on, did you have to extend the system vent line coming from the tank, or was there enough slack? I tried to raise the tank on my 08 fxdc but couldn't get enough slack.

YES. are you talking about the hose that goes to the top of the tank? or the equalizing that runs undernieth the frame? on my old bike (2005 FXD) i didnt need to change either. on this bike (2005 FXDI) i had to change both. The hose is avail at you locad hardware store (Orchard supply, Lowes, Home depot)
