Thanks for the help, the Daytona helmets look good. I am thinking of the leather covered model.

I wear a half but it's not small! Thinking of going to the 3/4 Licks NovDot with a transitional Visormatic 6000. Straight bobber style!

Not sure we should discuss Head Trip Helmets (Advanced Carbon Composites), but I have one their helmets and it is great. They are made in the US out of carbon fiber and Kevlar.

Prior to a testing glitch that declared them not DOT (about a year and half ago), they had several testimonials that claim they lived up to their billing.

Despite the fact that they are no longer DOT, I personally believe they are better than most helmets made overseas. Just my $0.02.

Vega makes some DOT half helmets that don't give you that head shroom look. I have one that looks like carbon fiber (it's really fiberglass). Price was right too. Picked it up for $60.

That thing is a paper weight, never worked right and now its not even DOT. Dont waste your money even if you could find one, I actually want my money back but they went out of business. I was waiting on the first batch of Licks helmets to go out and see how they turn out. I like wearing a full face in traffic but I like putting on a skid lid on the weekend runs in the summer heat

I have one of these too. I ordered a size smaller and carved out some of the styrofoam liner to make is sit better.
