Not to start an argument or controversy here, but I hope that everyone knows that a "DOT" helmet is essentially meaningless. This is an industry standard, meaning it's up to the companies themselves to test and comply. That's all. For ANY of these helmets you are trusting that the company tested it and it's at that standard. These are some of the same "DOT" standards adhered to by the automotive industry giving us such things as Exploding gas tanks, tires that blow out, cars the catch on fire etc. So if you are TRULY interested in your personal safety buy a helmet from a named-brand manufacturer...anything less than that...is rolling the dice. That's about the best you can hope for.
That killed any DOT compliance and real head protection it would have had...why not just buy non-DOT?
