I have not posted in quite awhile. I have been planing my rebuild and removing the engine from the bike. I was amazed when took it down. The engine was in bad shape inside. It had been bored 40 over, crane cam, crane pushrods. The case had been flycut for cam clearance and full of ground up metal. The quality of the work inside is the worst i have seen. The groves where the retaining clips in the pistons where peened over and after seeing the extent of carnage decided on a total rebuild. I am installing late model jugs,20 over,new pistons,late model heads, new rods,flywheels etc. The bottom end is now at the machine shop getting balanced. This is a classic case of very expensive parts ruined by very poor workmanship I decided not to go for the harley reman program. I am going to fix the case and take my time to do it right. I will post pictures of the old parts and post them. Well, back to the rebuild, i will post soon.

Slimjim, I too have an FXRDG, but mine has been totally modified, not much stock on it anymore, the engine is a Delkron case, Andrews Cam, Velva touch lifter/block/pushrods, crane roller rockers, SS carb and jugs, River Primo brute III primary, Dnya ignition, lots of other goodies. The stock disc wheel has been changed the front is custom, Elkhorn handlbars, modified frame... dual front disks, wrong size wheels,,, tall gears, all custom wiring... lots of chrome.... will post a pic if you would like to see it...
