Yup - I am horizontally challanged guy (5'11" and 23 stone) so not a light weight. My Street Bob has now issues with me now I've upgraded the rear suspension to Progressive rear shocks and also put in Progressive fork springs and medium weight oil.
I added the Corbin seat with backrest too - so all in all a much more comfortable ride.
However if you think about it, say you are a tad overweight and weigh 14 stone and have a pillion on of say 11 stone that's a total combined weight of 25 stone which is heavier than just little old me! I bet you wouldn't even think of it as a potential problem that way round.
I am not fat, I am just husky...lol.... I am 6'3 and go about 285 and with the progressive 812's mine rides like a dream, best mod I have ever done!!!!!!!!!!
Got it on ebay - It has its good and not so good points. Good - not expensive, folds flat when not in use, adjustable hieght (useful when switching to front or rear lift). Not so good - it folds.........which can make things tricky when trying to get it just so behind that oil pan gaurd, the cross bar is held in by thumb screws and can move, if you are working on the bike and need to use some muscle the bike can slide around some. For the price I cant complain, but will probably spring for a JS jack in the near future. And yet at the same time I made a stand out of 2x8's that works just as well and cost nothing
i know ill get flamed for the pic because im in shorts and sandals....but i was on the way to the river in november.....but im a fairly big guy one of the reasons the Busa had to go it was really fun to ride but anything other than around town was taxing....
I am 5'10 and when I first got my Street Bob I was 298 pounds. It never did bottom out with my fat *** and it rode fine. Now at 210 and it has a lot more power since it is hauling less fat *** around.
