Is this something you only do when installing Race Tech Emulators and changind the oil to a heavier weight oil? how thats the size of the new holes did you guys used?
BTW, is it a good idea to buy this cheap damping rods to do the drilling mod incase I do something wrong when upgrading the front with newer oild, springs and emulator?

Yes this is a mod that is required ONLY with the Race Tech Emulators. I believe Race Tech provides the size bit needed or includes it as well. I dont know off of the top of my head on that.
The Ricor Emulators are a drop in unit and they give you a forum discount. Many guys here sing their praise as well.
Back in the day, guys would fill in or enlarge the holes in the damping rods to tune suspension action. Nowadays with the huge variety of quality suspension fluid that method is pretty much extinct.

The Ricor units are called Intiminators. Yes, they are true drop-ins, but you will need to cut your preload spacers 5/8" or so. Easy to do.
