I've seen ridig sideplates mounted on some '06 dyna's and was wondering, Harley says you need the directional relocation kit but you guys still have the lights in the same spot, is that correct?
I should state that I have the wide tire kit installed so maybe that makes a difference.
Well if your gonna add saddlebags you will need to move the signals, but on my 06 Superglide all I did was just mount the plates and only took about 20minutes or so. It just mounts behind the strut.
Yeah,... I decided against saddlebags as well. I bought this bag off ebay fairly cheap which will work for local and short trips and I'll also get a larger T-bag for long multi-day trips.
You need a "bigger" bag for multi day trips, lol
Man that's a pretty big bag. I had a T-bag that was expandable and had plenty of room when I went to Wisconsin from NJ in '98 for the week.
Well,... This one holds alot but I like the Harley Touring bag that has the seperate levels and also opens from the side, which would just make getting stuff in and out alot easier.
I've got a set if you need them Mike. I'll make it worth your time.
As far as relocating the turn signals, I don't know. With the stock tire, my turn signals stayed where they were. I never did have the rigid sideplates and the turn signals in the stock location with the wide tire. The wide tire came later.
You need to relocate your turn signals anyway. The rear relocation kit with the lay down license plate changes the whole look from the rear. Makes the wide tire look even wider, cause it narrows the rear profile of the bike accentuating that tire even more. Looks badass.
Well if you don't get those, just let me know and we can work something out on these. I don't need them, would just as well see somebody that needs them get them cheap as to see them sit out there in the shed gathering dust.
