Default Do I need Tires

Kinda thinking I need tires...the front is still in good shape but the center of the back looks a bit bald. These are the factor tires and I have put about 8K on them. Do I need a new one? If so what kind do you guys like?

Looks like you are about 2,000 miles PAST due!

I like my Metzler ME880's. Try a search.

I kinda thought you guys would say I needed a new one...what kind and size do you recommend? I like the look of Avon.

BTW silly question but could I go any wider with the same rim and no changes?

hmmm tough call... Grin. I'd say you definitely got the goodie out of that tire.
I ran an Avon Storm 170 on mine and it was great for cornering and felt great on the road. I didn't see good mileage though. I have a Metzler 880 on now and have gotten more miles out of it than the Dunlops or Avon.

You need new tires. Metzeler ME880 Marathons are excellent. Better than stock Harley Dunlops.

Yea, you don't wanta be cought in the rain a long way from home on that tire.
I've heard the ME880 Marathons get good milage.
It sounds like your front is still good to go, that's about right... a new front for every other rear.
You need to consider weather or not mixed-matched tires (front 2 rear) are the way you want to go. I'd say wait till the next rear tire change then change em both to another type.

If you needed to ask the question you really shouldn't be out on your own on a motorcycle.......
